The pins that I had welded the holes shut were acceptable even with the pin holes. The pins are for the tiller (handle) on walk behind electric fork trucks. I took some JB weld and did a few pins, the only issue is 24 hours cure time. Looking for something that cures faster, so I went to Menards and picked up a tube of Loctite repair putty, cures in 1 hour. I tried a few pins and it seems to work OK as long as the pins are clean. I didn't clean the first few and when dry the putty would fall out of the holes. Still looking for something easier and quicker. Now, today, the pins are on the back burner. All of the tables in the machine shop that have wheels have to have a handle
that they can wrap green tape around them so that the operator knows where to grab ahold of the handle to move the table. They like the kind that hang down out of the way until you need it and then you can lift it up and move the table and if you are not careful when you let go of the handle it will swing out and whack you in the knee. They counted up 27 tables and I know they missed a few, so I will be welding handles on tables until the next crisis comes along. Thanks for the help and suggestions. Chris
