Anybody have a 3' high bed

Our bedroom is small, so we bought a bed that has the drawers under the bed, has 6 drawers on each side, but is 3' high. The misses tried it at the furniture store & approved it. Now that it's sitting in our bedroom, she don't like it. Looks like I'll be sleeping by myself.

The top of our mattress is 3' off the floor. We love it. 38 years and counting.

I don't like a bed too high.

Motel beds drive me nuts 'cause they're usually somewhat higher than ours at home.

We just bough a nice used bedroom suit.

Didn't realize it at the time, but the bed is considerably taller than the old one.

Wife is bugging me to make her a step stool that matches the bed.

Had one that high a while back. Wife had me raise it for storage. I could get in and out fine, wife needed a step stool. When she dislocated her elbow it was just too much for her to get in and out of so back down it went.

Just remove the mattress and sleep on a pad on the spring or replace the foam mattress with a thinner one.

Wife picked out our bedroom set and it was rather tall but came with a two step step up that she uses. Height doesn?t bother me any.

Box springs are basically useless, other than letting the mattress company make more money. I would consider removing the box spring and building a frame out of plywood or something. They also make low profile box springs if you think you still need one.

With the both of us standing at 5'4", we'd have to have step ladders on both sides of the bed to get into it. Then if I fell out (or she pushed me out) that floor would be a looong way down to fall. keith

You could go shopping and find a mattress that is comfortable and significantly thinner.

A lot of mattresses these days come with a "Try it for 90 days & return it for refund if you don't like it" guarantee. You might want to check if that applies & get a thinner one.

Years ago we went to a bed that is a little over 3 foot tall and love it. But the wife and I have both had back surgeries and it is easier to get out of 3 foot bed than one that feels like your laying on the floor.But I am 6-4 and wife is 5-10.We also went to the institutional height toilets. So everybody's situation is different.

I just measured this one at 29-30 inches. 10 inch very dense, specially made foam mattress on a home made wooden platform. Lots of storage underneath. No problem for 6' me and 5'2" wife.
