(quoted from post at 16:53:27 11/29/18) Is TVNOWPRO any good. Can you still get local channels ? THANKS

Depends on how far you are from the TV stations. It IS made for local channels, but its advertised range is 30 miles, and up to 50 with the amplifier. Also, it's an indoor antenna, so many things can affect how it works, i.e. aluminum siding, steel roofing, foil faced insulation, etc.

That has to be right up there with some of the biggest piles of horse excrement advertising as I've ever seen.

There's no "magic" to it. It's just a TV antenna. It can only receive the signals that are present in your area.

Nowadays, most broadcast channels have 1-4 "subchannels" with alternative programming. A channel that shows old Western shows. A channel that shows old sitcoms. A channel that shows ethnic programming. A channel that shows cheesy horror movies. A channel that shows old game shows... The list goes on.

THAT is where the "90 to 100" channels claim comes from. If you're near a big city with a lot of network affiliates, you can easily get 40+ of these so-called "channels." There's obviously one or two areas in the country where one of these antennas can pick up 90+, so they can make that claim.

It's a fine antenna I'm sure, but you can get the same channels from any old antenna, with a modern TV.

Hello Steve-Maine,

Would this one work? That is what I have. I get every single major channel. Many side channels, and excellent hi def channels. Here is one of the scans,

Guido.
