I did, i haven't seen any new one or sets being offered in 50 years, my dad had some of them,i go to flea markets in the winter and buy a few that look good.It says made in USA on them i looked it up, they were made in Buffalo New York eventually bought out bye the Cresent Co.

the military bought a lot of the old USA buffalo wrenches, Many military wrenches were natural finish and not highly attractive to steal, although a lot of privately owned vehicles had some of them in the trunk.

I think I have a Barcalo wrench in among my tools. I don't remember the Buffalo though. Many of my wrenches are road finds - I used to work in road construction and repair.

He thought you said wenches not wrenches. It just made me laugh a little and I couldn't resist. I live near Buffalo NY. Would be interesting to know if they were actually made here.

I went to their website--all Asian tools. "Huang-Buffalo". In business only 26 years, so NOT the same as 'Barcalo-Buffalo'.

That Haung Buffalo is like Harbor Freight stuff.
I think it is the traveling tool tent sale brand of choice.

Here is an article on the Barcalo-Buffalo brand:

They became famous making the Barcalounger line of reclining furniture.

If they are in fact "old" try GOOGLING "Barcaloy" (good 'ol American stuff) vs "buffalo" from "The Land of Almost Right".

There's quite a few Barcaloy wrenches that I'm proud to have hiding out in my tool chest, and they are not from "The Land of Almost Right".

YAMMV.

I collect a few Barcalo tools, the Barcalo Company has an interesting history. The also made tools that sold under the Coast to Coast label. The old Barcalo tools were not pretty but not junk.

Funny, I just cleaned up a Barcalo-Buffalo yesterday. Mine didn't have a raised panel, which is why I put it on the wire wheel, so I could red the markings. It's the only one I have of that brand, 11/16x3/4

I have a lot of Barcalo open- and box-end wrenches I've picked up at yard sales and swap meets over the years for a quarter or 50 cents. They function well for most bolt-and-nut work, and it's not a disaster if one gets misplaced.

I have a set of barcalo buffalo I bought when I got got my driver license 60 years ago, about 14 wrenches in set, lost a couple thru the years. That's the set I use most, good tools.

I have a set I got when we cleaned out my Grandpa's place. I replaced a couple of wrenches that must have gotten lost or broken so I have a full set.

Barcalo also, I believe, made tool kits for the armed forces. You see these tools in olive drab wrench rolls a lot.

If you're missing tools from a set, they come up on eBay quite a bit. I have to think that a once-popular hardware chain must have carried them at one time?
