Hey folks.
This is kinda off topic but it does involve moving a tractor trailer load of tools.
Due to the state I currently live in is seriously considering socialized medicine I find myself considering options. My wife has a condition that requires expensive medicine (we looked at external_linkcare....$26000 a year for one of them) and we just can't afford that.
We are both retired and have an decent income and healthcare through the union that I am in.
We have been discussing this and have decided that a move may be in order. My father used to live in the Asheville area and when I visited him I liked the area.
we aren't looking for specific properties but would like to get a feel for what the market is in this part of the country.
We are looking for 60+ acres with some tillable and perhaps a bit of water. A small home for 2 people and perhaps some outbuildings. Our budget will be in the area of 100k.
We live in the country now and plan to continue doing so.
