Awhile back you were looking for one. Well I just went to harbor freight site and a video ad popped up advertising the new Fortress ones. They show the older pancake one with sound. and then the newer ones. MAJOR difference in noise.

I ordered the California Air Tools CAT-1P1060S Light & Quiet Portable Air Compressor, Silver. 0.6 hp. Used it on my generator. The only way I could determine it was on next to the generator was to touch it. If I felt a vibration, it was on.

What sold me about the California air compressor was it only runs at 1800 rpms and that it has brushes.

No more than I'll use it, it should last me a lifetime. I used it to run framing nailer on a privacy fence where there was no electricity. It did everything I expected it to do. Happy camper. And very light, about 30#.
 
I just bought the little 30 gallon at TSC for $329....$100 off......probably still on sale today and maybe tomorrow too. Really nice and sits in the corner out of the way and very quiet. Pumps up to 150# just like they said. Looks like a V 2 stage but the cylinders are plumbed in parallel not series and it runs on a full 15A, 120v at full load. Will suit my needs just fine.

Saw these at HF and I really want one, but I'd like a bigger tank. Currently the "big" version is only a 2 gallon tank. I really want a 5-6 gallon model.
