Have cleaned out father in laws basement for estate sale..
Found big can of 140 gear lube. Not sure what he might have used it for.
Suggestions?
All he had was a square baler, 770 Oliver, old AC, and an SC CASE.

I used it in the gearbox of my coal stoker, which may be why it was in the basement. If you don't know what I am talking about, maybe it was for a tractor rear end.

If I remember correctly, the gear box of the John Deere #5 hay mower called for 140 gear lube. ALL of the older tractors I am familiar with called for 80-90 gear lube in the transmission/rear end.

I may be interested if you would ship but you haven't said how large of a can , one gallon , five gallon? email is open.

I would use it in an older tractor that does not sit out in the cold, heavier lube does not leak as bad.
