Guy here at work part times on Sunday at Harbor Freight. He said the fires in CA are affecting the headquarters. Also the headquarters controls everything at the outlet stores. Lights ,cash registers everything. People were lined up at registers as they had to call in each credit card.
Wonder if this is happening in your area ? We are in Ohio ! This may impact stock not getting reordered and restocked ?

I went on Friday and experienced that. They couldn't take a credit or debit card unless it had raised numbers where they could use the old fashion card machine with carbon paper. They also couldn't do the discount coupons but did give me the free stuff. Then I went again yesterday and the problem was resolved.

Thing is they have an East Coast warehouse in SC. IT is right off of I-95 looking to the east. Absolutely HUGE place. The west coast must have seperate facilities for that stuff out there. Could be too close to the event, comunication problems, or personel not reporting. That state is an absolute mess out there. I can't imagine almost wiping out an entire town with over 6000 buildings in town and in the area, and the casualties are mounting as they find them. Not a good way to go. Have to agree how pretty your house is with all of those trees around but you are living. In the middle of a potential giant wood stove supply pile. I remember reading an artical some years back where they were building houses with a deluged system. Two inch pipe with sprinkle nozzles. If fire like that was detected the system would pump from your. Well, city water, and your pool to suppress everything. Guess no body had it?

I went to the one in Manchester NH a few weeks ago,and they were having problems then with stocking. When that hurricane hit the Carolinas everything came to a halt.I understand the facility was OK,but the workers were missing.Their homes might have been gone, roads not open, trucks couldn't get in or out, things were just at a standstill. After the clerks explaining it to customers, some were still actually asking, well, when do you think they will be shipping again?

I'm in SE, IN but needed to go to Dayton on Monday.

I lived in Dayton for about 20 years.

West Coast headquarters is in Ventura County, Camarillo CA. The fires haven't hit that town but they were on the other side of a canyon in Thousand Oaks.

I used to live in Camarillo and have been to that store a number of times.

You haven't lived until you have been to one of their parking lot sales where they dump the over-stocks and returned goods. I have seen guys with Penske 24 foot box trucks buying in bulk so they can re-sell the goods at swap meets.

Cool stuff
