Look at how the floor boards are worn. Edges are rounded over and there a shallow spots. How much hay got pushed along on the floor to wear it down like that? Really makes you think about the stories the barn could tell and the people who worked in the barn.

Our old dairy barn was used as a horse stable. It has 4 stables with 4 holes, 2x2 ft, one for each stable. We used the stables for the calves. The other part of the barn had 32 stanchions for milking the cows. We would try to have 64 cows to have a constant supply of milk.
