Looks like a rendering setup. Those rings lift out to fit the size
kettle you had. More modern type are still still used in big kitchens
that need lots of heat. Candy kettles and also some really large
Chinese cooking have wok units that are like than.
 
Looks like a porcine torture chamber. I bet a lot of good meat went through that building. Where's the barrels for packing the hams and side meat in salt and sugar? It's almost time to start heating up the kettles.
 
Larry, my Grandmother had a stove like that, they were used for all sorts of different chores; Laundry, rendering a Hog, making Lye Soap,
etc. . I still have a bar of homemade Lye Soap that my Grandmother made.
