Anyone have experience with the Jet metal vertical and horizontal band saw ? Would be nice to save floor space and have one machine to cut metal.

had a jet horizonal saw it was ok, it had a 3/4 in. blade if you step up to a 1in you will get straighter cuts

No direct experience with the band saw, but Jet Tools has been around for a long time.

They're foreign made, but do have some decent quality about them. They are great for home shop use, will work for light industrial.

The main thing to look for in a metal cutting saw is if the blade speed is slow enough. Mild steel needs 120-250 FPM.

Not with the metal but I have a Jet woodworking band saw I bought about 20yrs ago. Good quality and have had no problems. Jim
