O.T. fast food restaurants-yuch,yuch

Have fast food restaurants gone to the dogs or what? McDonald's used to have a
decent big Mac, no more. Today I bought the taco bell Triple Double Crunchwrap Box.
There's not enough indegredients to justify the cheap price. Why not charge a
couple dollars more to make a decent meal. If you look at the pictures of the
Triple Double Crunchwrap Box on there website & compare it to what you get, the
picture is 2-4x what you actually get. Sorry had to let my rant out.

There is a Jack In The Box in this town. Food and service is so bad. I don't know how they stay open. I have seen pig pens that were cleaner. So pigs.

Try that McDonalds Bacon Smokehouse burger. You won't believe you're even at McDonalds. That thing is great.

Fast food places have been hit by the food police too many times. They can't add salt at the time of cooking and it is different if its there at cooking or after. They made them change the oil they use to make french fries with and they aren't as good. People don't want to wait to cook it but don't want it from a heat lamp. I'm surprised places like McDonald's have survived this long.

Oh, I dunno. I get a Whopper Jr. with cheese and value onion rings for 4 bucks at BK, it suits me just fine. I had one crunch wrap thingee at Taco Bell the other day, it was enough for lunch. And you're saying 3 isn't? Have you checked your cholesterol and sodium intake recently? You can save some of the world's food for the next go-around, you know.

Fast food restaurants are good for pit stops. Usually. And maybe a coffee refill. We very rarely eat at one. We much prefer a restaurant where you can sit down, the waiter takes your order, and then brings it to you.

the problem with mickey ds is they screw up a simple order.when i order two iced coffees and get six big macs plus im gone let them figure it out.two out of six times the order is wrong

Got a quarter pounder with cheese on I-90 in NY last week. Edges of the patty were crunchy and way too much salt. I only eat fast food when it's really necessary.

I eat fast food very rarely. Maybe a few times a year. That said I went to Tim Hortons this morning and got my co-worker and myself each a breakfast meal. I had a bacon lettuce egg tomatoe and cheese sandwich on a bagel. He got a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a biscuit. Both came with hash browns. Both meals came with a beverage. I had coffee, and he had iced tea. The price was around 12 bucks. Not cheap. But I will say it was good and filling on a cool damp day ! Usually the burger joints are too greasy for me. Tastes great, but feel like crap hours after. Tim Hortons is a coffee joint around here that also sells sandwiches and other food. Don't know if they are around other places or not.

Those chicken strips with the BBQ sause they have right now. They are pretty good. Just caution that they are spicey.

Daughter lives in Indy and had a new Jack In The Box about 8 blocks from her home and closed several years after opening. It's food and service was not good.

This place is an insult to rats. If we had a health department in this town. They would close it. Place an order and hope for the best.

Sausage McMuffin from the Micky D's near my office yesterday morning had me sick all day, sick enough to go home. Food is always sketchy but usually edible. Service sucks. Order is wrong on an average of 3 out of 5 times. The only reason for stopping there is that it's the only place open @ 5:30AM.

I will say the McDonald's in the town where I live is without a doubt the best fast food restaurant around. Clean, great staff and quick to receive your order. And the owner is a real asset to the community, sponsoring school athletics and working with various community projects.

For fast food Hardee's is the best the Wendy's don't bother with anything else. We set on the front of restaurant row. Got it all Mc d's, BK, Taco Bell, Qudoba, Wendy's, Hardee's, A new Culver's,an the Pizza places Cesar's Domino's and then all the local owned mom and pop places for all of it too.

What kind of tools do they use at these fast food restaurants anyway? Harbour Freight? Shouldn't there be something about tools here in "Tool Talk"?

I mean, you know, what brand is the spatula that is used to flip the burgers at these establishments? Is it a quality piece or made in China junk? We need to know if the tool quality is proportional to the food quality. Especially here in "Tool Talk".

Too bad there isn't an "Off Topic" forum here. Oh, wait, there is, look.

Lots of the picture on the container doesn't match the contents. Would you call that false advertising? I would. Would you call that taking advantage of your customer? I would. Would you call that misleading information to increase your profits? I would. Do I go to FF places, or buy pre-packaged foods....... not if I can help it.

After watching a few TV commercials from Arby's, I refuse to ever visit one. Those commercials are an insult to my intelligence.

Here in Nebraska we have a Runza.. I eat there and or KFC.. KFC will usually have a nice meal for the price..Runza serves a runza which is a flower shell with meat, onions, peppers, etc. etc. wrapped up on all four sides.. so not a burrito.. they also serve hamburgers, and all that goes with that.. Love their onion rings and burgers..

Years ago when wife and I were dating.. had a place in lincoln called Flakey Jakes... they had a burger, or chicken sandwich that was HUGE.. they used those sesame buns and the meet filled the bun plus.. they are no longer in business but were always busy..

To appease the topic police..................

At McD's how do you all like to go the order counter person and then be directed to use the new "kiosk" ordering screen behind you instead???

Note, the above kiosk ordering screen is a tool.

Personally for me, they are akin to the self checkouts and I refuse to use them.

Screens are the only way to order at a Sheetz,I like them get to decide what you want easily, see all the things they offer and you get a print out of what you've ordered. And its not made up until you order.

friend of mine called mickey d burgers belly bombers. I asked why is that he said after eating one of them you have so much gas you feel like you have a big bomb in the middle of your belly waiting to go off.

I am indeed surprised. All of you farmers raising good, wholesome food that is actually good for you, and you are eating from the bottom of the barrel at fast food joints? No thank you!!!

We really enjoy McDonalds, Arbys, Taco Bell, and KFC. We also like a couple of steak houses and cafes, but we eat fast food 4 or 5 times per week. For the money, we can't duplicate the variety by cooking at home.

Yeah, that's a head shaker for sure.

That hasn't happened to me yet. Should it happen, I am willing to bet the exit door is 1/2 the distance to the kiosk.

Oh yes, Flakey Jakes made really good burgers! If I remember right it was sort of a salad-bar style thing where you could basically build your own. I ate there a few times when I was going to college in Milford in the 80's. Was sad to see that it was closed. It's an Olive Garden now I think. As far as fast food goes, I rank a Runza cheeseburger far above McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.
