Sandblaster from Tractor supply.

Sandblaster from Tractor supply. I can?t get it to sandblast. Nothing will come out of the hose. I have the biggest nozzle in it that I could find. The air filter plastic glass broke from the air pressure. I had the regulator set at a hundred pounds. The sandblaster is rated for 125 psi. Where would I find another plastic glass? The sandblasting media is from tractor supply, Black Diamond. Thank you

It does sound like the blast sand was too coarse. I use a small unit like that and I just all purpose sand from the lumber company. I reuse the sand so I made a box out of 1x4's and some screen wire to sift it. Probably about 5% of the sand in a bag will stop up a little sandblaster if you don't sift this kind of sand.

The plastic bowl is probably not going to be available unless there is a known brand name on the regulator.

Since it's not working, and the bowl broke, might consider taking it back, upgrading to a better model, or get a refund.

Sounds like it is plugged. Are you using a water filter on your compressor? I also installed a water filter at the blaster's inlet. Water from the compressor will cause the media to stick together and clog things up. Trace back from the nozzle to see where it is clogged. Tractor supply probably carries a regulator you can change out.

I have a harbor freight unit and use the black diamond.. I had the same issue while back and noticed the diamond I got was to large.. so I sifted it all to weed out the larger stuff..made sure I got the right size next time..

NOW if you ran it through your screen to sift out and it all went through then problem is else where.. I know I had to take apart the spray nozzle and the end part and clean out all the larger material that caused the block..
