Wood splitter again

Well I bought the Craftsman splitter (see post below). Where is the drain plug to change the oil. 6.5hp Briggs and Stratton. I didn't think to ask the seller if he had the manual.

Go to the Sears web site. Have your model number ready. Download the manual, it's free,

You can probably download the manual from Sears online parts, you'll need the model number of the splitter, not the engine.

If that is a horizontal engine, there will be a plug in the side of the base, where it bolts down.
 
If its a vertical shaft engine and was made in the last twenty years, there is no drain plug. Most of those engines went on lawnmowers and on a mower you just tip it over and let the oil run out the dipstick tube.

We use a fluid evacuator at work for those engines we can't tip. The same kind you would use if it was in a boat.
