HF Bottle Jacks - Will they operate on their sides?

Pretty simple question. Will they operate on their sides? I know some bottle jacks will and some won't. If you have a different brand and it works on it's side let me know what it is.

I have used a chinese one with the pump side down to straighten a mower deck.

I think the pump needs to be down to be sure the oil will run to it.

I agree. They will work, but usually only with one particular side down.

I have one that works in any position except upside down from HF. I don"t know if they all do. most bottle jacks that can be used on there sides, are labeled. Mine was labeled as being able to be used on its sides. Was Orange.

yep, pump on bottom so oil gravity flows to it.
