I took a look in the sub panel the dryer's breaker was in, and there was the problem. $15 to replace the breaker and all is well.

CONGRATULATIONS I had listed breaker or a loose connection as my best "guesses" its always fun to get some feedback, thanks for posting.

With no cumbersome moving potentially sticking or hanging mechanical itms to possibly go bad, a simple fuze with no moving parts and only an elements melting to operate, there certainly is a place for fuses in some applications.

I"ve found Federal Pacific and Murray (Sears) to be about the same quality- cheap. Replaced all those boxes with Square D, QO series, not their Homeline.

Good deal ! I am about to hang a new clothesline. I have two dryers -one is electric [too expensive] and the gas one sounds like it is good for about one more load before it breaks completly. Wife told me clothesline is dirty so I got new line . I'm on a low budget. I'm on a low budget. I used to suck on cigars but now I suck on the wind . I'm on a low budget... sorry Kinks song got in my head I gotta go listen to some country .[and hang the new one]
