Lawn vacuums.

Does it have to be a vacuum? I've had good luck with the sweepers (with a bin) that you pull behind a riding mower...

I have a grass cart on my JD 455. could not do without it. great for leaves and picking up the cut grass. I sometimes cut my grass with a zero turn Hustler and kind of wind row it and then pick it up with the grass cart on the 455.

one of them 2ft plastic leaf rakes will work circles around any of that stuff...

We just have a small yard (prolly the size of your bathroom)... But with a cobblestone driveway and having to sweep the street, I bought a vacuum cleaner type thing to go over....400 bucks and it did about half the job. Nothing on grass... Best we found was a pushmower with a catch bag.....

She is using a sweeper now. But that gets tiresome when mowing 7 1/2 acres. When we bought the mower we bought the mulching kit, which works fine, but she likes the grass clippings to place around her plants, it really does help them grow faster. I just cut the grass and let it lay where it falls! Should have never got rid of the horses, they kept the grass down.

Here is a little project I did to the sweeper this winter, the wife shoves in her ear phones with books on tape and forgets the sweeper is behind her, she hit one of the wheels on something and crushed the nylon gears inside the case. :x So I built this to help divert the sweeper around objects. I did paint it yellow latter.

I use mulching blades instead.

I did it at first to return the grass itself back into the ground, but soon found I could chop up leaves too. I haven't raked in the past 15 years.

Not a vac, but if you go the sweeper route, and you"re somewhat local to me, I have a really good Parker Trailette pull behind sweeper that I have no use for. Just needs the bag. These things are very well made, heavy steel, etc. Will probably outlast me. The pic is old, It"s cleaned up now...

Good luck

I had an Agri-Fab. It worked great. Pulled it behind an old Murray 42' mower, which was really too small, and then my Kubota BX-2230

Dave in Tx thank you very much for the offer! But I'm not really big on buying things like this used. But I just have to ask, why are you selling? Had trouble, didn't like the way it worked?
We have a 48-inch deck, not sure yours would work anyway, but again thank you very much for the offer!

TonyIN, no not interested in another sweeper. I think we're pushing our luck with the one we have. Toro has weight limitation on how much these zero turns can pull. But say it's OK to mount one of these vacuums on the back! Go figure! :?

Sold the mower, a front deck, and the buyer didn't want the catcher. Had two of the mowers with catchers and neighbor bought one with the catcher and piles his cuttings up and puts on his garden this fall. Also have a pull type vac that vacs 6 ', has 20 horse engine on it, holds a little more than a full size pu bed, but it is not for sale. Under stand the not buying used, and probably won't fit.
