Good Deal on Tools!

I was scouting out a pawn shop that I normally check out when I go to Thunder Bay and while strolling down one of the tool aisles I saw a few very large ziploc freezer bags full of hand tools. One was full of wrenches, assorted makes and styles, some combination, a few nice box end, some cheap, a few blue point and snap on. Another one had all sorts of punches and chisels. Most need some dressing at the bench grinder but are otherwise in good shape.
Here is a pic............oh, and the best part? The bags were $5 each! Anyone need an extra 3/4" wrench, I think there were 4 of them in the bag.

I thought I did pretty well.............well I just couldn't LEAVE them there could I? Do I have a problem? Is there a group I should join?

Looks like a good buy to me. You're perfectly normal. You're not that far north are you? Thunder bay is still 15-ish hours away from you, isn't it?

That wrench on the bottom and center looks like a Planet Jr. wrench. I have a couple and they usually sell for at least $8.00 or more at the tractor shows. Good find and good luck.

3.5 hours east of me

Yes, it is a Planet Jr. wrench! I knew it looked old but I didn't realize it was collectible.

You can never have too many 3/4. It appears to me that on farm equipment 60% of the nuts and bolts take 3/4.

Do you have a problem? Well, judging by the picture, I'd suspect you might be bleeding profusely, but that's about it. ;o)

I think that is red paint........it's the lid of my parts washer..........I'd better go check myself out...........feeling faint...........lol

Think I'll pass on that. What would the "You Suk" be based on? I am guessing they have criteria as to what constitutes a good find and what does not. I don't need other people's opinions to decide if I got a good deal or not.

i think ya done outstanding. a couple snap on wrenches will set you back about 40 to 50 dollars per wrench. mmmmmmmm give ya 20 buck for the whole works.........????????

That comment is not an insult. It is more of an I am jealous that you got the deal and I didn't. Its all in good natured humor.

Ah, I get it. I didn't think it was truly a bad thing.
I've had a few of those moments recently. A guy I work with picked up a mint condition 24' 5th wheel travel trailer, older but in mint condition for $1500. Fridge, furnace etc. all work fine. Oh, and they threw in the 5th wheel hitch for that price as well.
