Hose repair

Had the same experience you did with the first type. On the second type, install it and wrap duct tape around the sharp parts. Replace duct tape as needed.

The Nelson or Gilmour repair kits for hose ends have always worked well for me. Some of them after being out in the sun for years will break down eventually and need replacing. If you have one that won't go into the hose like it should, get some water hot in a pan on the stove and warm the hose end before putting the repair fitting on .

I use a lot of short hoses to water the flower gardens here with soaker hose. I use the cheap plastic ones from wally world = $ .99 each. The thing to do when you put the ends on is get them hot (/i just put them in hot water) and clamp them on. Works for me :)
