Is it single or three phase powered? Single phase its worth about a $1000.
Three phase not so much unless you have 3 ph power.

Make sure the cylinders aren't leased/stolen or you'll never get them filled and the owner will take them back. You need to make sure the high freq. works properly. I think the TIG 250 is basically an Idealarc 250 with the high freq. built in. There is no finer single phase stick machine than an Idealarc 250. If everything works, it should be in the $750 to $1200 range tops. The water cooler and water cooled TIG torch is worth 2 or $300 by itself. If you're not doing heavy work, you could price out a new square wave TIG 175 for comparison. If you have to bid on this one, start low around $350. You can always go up.

I don't know the value but it would be best if you could try it out before making an offer on it. You want to be sure that the accessories all work. Check out the water cooler, pump and the torch to make sure that there is proper coolant flow and that they are not leaking. The coolant in those coolers can get pretty bad if not taken care of. Check the torch leads for burn marks that can lead to coolant and gas leaks The foot pedal control should work easily and control smoothly. It is always a good idea to soap test the regulators and gas line fittings for leaks. It is little things like this that can nickel and dime you.
