Brought new in 1977 (one on the right),,, did not use from 1990 till 95 when I went to put it back in use it was locked up,,, so messed around and got the rings unstuck and it dropped a valve rite off the bat,,, thought all I needed was new valves so ordered up $300 dollars worth with the gaskets,,, found the cylinder cracked when i went to put it back together so ended up with another $500 in it for rings and a new cylinder...

This spring sum'n did not sould right so shut it down till I could get to it,, found the risk pin needle BRG bad on the high pressure piston,,, I have ordered the parts to fix it,,, around $120,,, it was very tempting to just buy a new compressor (compressor only) to replace it,,, $600 but found out they are now made in china.

(quoted from post at 15:05:56 11/18/10) That lube oil sure has a lotta sludge in it !

I spec 15 years of use will do that along with all the water that collects in the sump... It has not been ran in a year I run the westward in the winter and this one in the summer,,, the westward makes to much water in the summer,,, the emglo makes none year round... I picked up the westward a few years a ago for $700 7.5 hp 27 cfm,,, a newspaper find :D .

I mite paint the inside of the compressor motor with Glyptal to cut down on some of the rust waster causes...

That"s a Kellogg 335 pump. Should be lots of places to get parts. Emglo used Kelloggs for all of their 2 stage stuff 5hp and above. That"s a very high quality pump, but the cast iron in them is on the brittle side, so be careful torquing down bolts.

I found that out when I went look'n for parts,,, I also have a 352TV unit that I loaned to my BIL some 20 years ago,,, its never made it back home. I have had it since 1979, its never gave any problems... I gave $125.00 for it :D at a auction on a wim it would be good...

Thanks ,,, I like air and plenty of it 8)

Gotter back together sit'n right beside me,,, I have always used 30ND oil in it,,, I have some IR Select synthetic compressor oil (its not a IR I know),,, what would you run in it are anyone else... The IR oil says not to use in discontinued models T10 are T20,,, wonder why.... The sump and all parts are now clean,,, their was no ware on the crank bearings (shells) the rings and cylinder were in perfect condition,, I replace the roller BRG on the pulley side,, the risk pin and needle BRG on then HP piston all gaskes and seals,,, set the crank end play/drag up...

I did sorta lie,,, I once a pond a time used 30 HD,,, the oil would turn milky rite fast (in a week) so I switched to ND,,, it still will get milky but takes awhile,, 30 days are more...

Thanks for the offer sounds like a deal,,, I am compressor poor at this time,,,, One thang i would like to know is the size pulley that's on the motor,,, I have a 3 1/2 x 5/8 (belt withe),,, this unit had a 3HP on it when brought new,,, I need to find out the pulley used for a 5HP motor (whats on it now),,, mite as well spin it up,,, its going to wear out with either motor...

On the compressor it is 14" pully and on 5 HP motor it is a about 6 " Both are double pullys. If you need a motor I have a 5 HP that is barly used . Will run CW or CCW. $200.00 cost new over 500.00.

I hope you find this day late info.-
w/5 HP motor-
100psi,20cfm-6.2" pulley
125psi,18cfm-6" pulley
150psi,17.2cfm-5.8" pulley
175psi,17cfm-5.4" pulley
200psi,16.9cfm-5.2" pulley

mine happens to have a 5.375" pulley

(quoted from post at 21:34:49 03/13/17) Does pulley size matter what the psi will be or is that determined by pressure switch?

short answer, switch are switch adjustment.

The pulley needs to be matched to the motor for the best performance out of the pump.
