Wood Stove Thermostat

After listening to my wood stove blower motor cycle on & off after short & long intervals, I decided to put a different thermostat on it. So, what I dug up in the bargin bin was a Honeywell Brand dial thermostat. In the picture I have included is a description of what I have. I took a picture & drew arrows with texts to show you what I have to hook up. & help me better understand how this contraption works. 2 things I would like assistance on is how to wire the thermostat up & how to set the on & off temperature. If I can provide you all with any additional information, don"t hesitate to ask.

We had a fan/limit switch on our wood furnace/stove. Start the fire and when the air plenum warmed up the blower would start. This wood furnace was set up like a gas or oil furnace. We had air ducts for supply and return

If the "LIMIT" function is NOT needed, use only the "FAN SWITCH" side, (the LH side), the "LOAD" and "FAN" terminals.

That's a very common high limit/fan control used on forced air furnaces before the new type gas furnaces, and still used on oil furnaces.

Most furnaces use low voltage, 24 volt, for control of the burner, and 120 volt for the fan. If used like that you remove that tab.

With that button pulled out the fan will turn on and off at what you set it at. With it pushed in the fan will run continually.

The round tube like end is inserted all the way into the warm air plenum. They come in about 3 different lengths.

That fan auto/continuos is an easy way to check for power when your called in for no heat.
