Love them old mowers

I got an old (15-20 ys?) 20" rotary mower (Craftsman?) for free to cut weeds on my property. Hadn't used it much since I got a DR brush mower. It's been sitting in the weeds partially covered for 2-3 yrs. Figured I'd try it over the weekend before I junked it. Put some gas in it, hit the prime 3 times and by gosh it fired right up. Ran great for about an hour then stopped. Plenty of gas, checked the oil. Uh, oh, bone dry. Parked it in the weeds, Poured some oil in it yesterday. Got carried away and didn't check as I went, overfilled it. Fired right up and blew a huge cloud of blue smoke for about 5 minutes, then purred like it was brand new. Gotta love those old machines that will take a beating and keep on ticking. It's back in the weeds but off the junk heap. I may even change the plug one of these days.
