I have a 1987 Ferguson Compactor-Roller powered by a JD 4239 diesel. While searching for parts to replace the water pump (a journey in itself) Ive come across a sticker on the valve-cover which lists option codes. Visiting the JD website I was able to register my engines serial numberand the site provided the list of option codes. such as for Crankshaft Pullev & Dampener -Option code: 1315 . or for Alternator -Option code: 3108.
Where can I find the meaning of these codes? Anyone have any info at all? Also, In particular I would like to know if a Parts Catalog exists for this engine. It was supplied to Ferguson for installation in their asphalt compactor-roller during original manufacture as a complete engine, Model 4239DF001. Anyone have any ideas on how to learn details?
