Craigslist add wanted hit n miss engines....I have an old jd. I think they were 1 1/2 hp. Right? Anyway mine is an older restoration. Hasn't been run in years but I think if I clean the tank and fuel line I can get it to run. I'm going to send the guy some pics. Oh it is on trucks. I have no idea what price to tell him. What do you think? Thanks.

J.D engines came in 1.5, 3, and 6 hp sizes, maybe a few more. I dont know why, but they seem to pull in a premium price, which is great for you! A 1.5 hp engine in decent shape should bring 500-600 dollars in running condition. Prepare to bargain down a bit if you dont get it running. A set of nice OEM trucks will add 150.oo to any engine.

Good Luck!

If it sits on original an JD truck, add $400 to it. Reproduction carts bring that. I'd start at $1000.

I Think the 900. To 1000. Is prolly more in line with the going prices for JD engines. I just sold one for 1200. On skids. One thing that really changes the price on
These engines is whether it has a mag. or not. That?s about a 300. Dollar difference there. Show us a picture of your engine if you can post one.

Depends a lot on where you are. Original JD trucks add about $400 to the price.if it will start and run off the mag I would not take any lens?s than $ 1100. Check ebay and see what the ones that have sold lately sold for. You can search John Deere hit and miss engine. Then go to advanced settings and click on sold items to see. There is a parts engine that brought 60.00
