I was made a gift of a 4 cyc flat head Continental engine bolted to a welder Anyone know much about them and where to get parts. Not sure if it is worth messing with because it is locked up and not sure if you can still get parts. Tag number is F162 Block number is F400a4210

The n 62 Continential engine is what is in the Allis G tractor and also The Massey Harris Pony. Not sure what the engine you have was used for but probably all the parts are the same. The Pony and The G carry all the same parts except the block is cast different for the starter. Would like to see some pictures of you engine if you can post them.

Lots of parts available looks like. Steiner tractor has a head gasket set of 62.00. I would pull the head first and see what the valves and pistons look like on the top side and go from there depending on what it looks like

The N-62 Continental is used in the A C-G, the M- H Pony, Earthmaster and some old Tow motor fork lifts. This guy here is talking about an F-162 and it was the engine used to power the Lincoln SA 200 pipeline welders on thousands of welding jobs.
