What engine do these pistons fit?

They are 3.25" in diameter. The box says Minneapolis Moline. I think they are for a Wisconsin engine. They have a vertical and horizontal slot on one side.

I believe your hunch may be correct.

VF4 and VF4D Wisconsin engines have a 3.25" bore.

I don't think they will work in "even fire" VH4 as the skirt is too long and will hit the crank counter weights even if the bore is the same and some other parts interchange.

Thanks for the information. I have a 2 cylinder Wisconsin Engine on a New Holland Super 66 baler. I wonder if the pistons will fit it. Is there a model number tag on the motor somewhere?

Typically, there's a pretty good sized Wisconsin ID tag riveted to the cooling air shrouding.

CORRECTION... that statement is INCORRECT.

I mixed up bore and stroke... those engines are 3" BORE, 3.25" stroke, details can be seen in the link I posted previously.

SORRY about that!

Bob, VE4 has 3 inch bore, VF4 and VH4 have 3 1/4" bore,
The chart has an error. I have all three and had them apart one time or another.

DUNER, thanks for the correction to my "correction".

I got the first (correct) info from the http://www.wiengines.com/ site, then paid too much attention to the "incorrect" ASECC info.

I should have known better, as I have done my time working on those engines, as well, but I guess it's been 35 years since I "put a wrench" to one of the V-4's.

Did you ever figure out what engine those pistons fit? If the skirt or piston height is 3 3/8 I believe it fits a VF4 Wisconsin and I am looking for one standard piston (the four ring version). On the inside of the piston does it have a number. My piston has DB-190.
