Coil for a Kohler engine

For the Kohler engine on my Troy rototiller, where could I get the coil? My engine guy says it is NLA. I find that hard to believe.
I have run the engine for a few years using an external coil and a battery and would like to fix it correctly.

I'm all for shopping locally/keeping the $$$ at home, but when the local guy tells you something that silly, it's time to move on.

You might have posted just a little more info, the part number for the coil, if you have it, or at the very least the info off of the engine data plate, it's OK to get WILD here, our gracious hosts don't charge by the word to post here!

That having been said armed with a little more info, you will have NO problem finding a new coil on the 'net.

Thanks.
I now have the engine number (K161T) and maybe the coil number (7-01612). Will pull the fly-wheel off soon to see what it looks like first. There is a local place that has been able to find "hard-to-find" parts and will try the 'net if that does not work.

The number you poster is a "Prime Line" part number, also sold by NAPA.

Any NAPA store should be able to get you one.
