TF is a "Standard" model
TFD is a "Heavy Duty" model, and has Stellite
valves, and hardened valve seats
A TF will not hold up under extreme conditions
burning todays unleaded gas. Be advised, I've
learned from experiance !

The T F parts catalog I have are so clear "USE REGULAR GRADE OF GASOLINE" . Here in Mexico we still have this called GASOLINA MAGNA and the unleaded is called PREMIUM. Of course I never attempt to use PREMIUM because on 50's I guess this doesn't exist. On my restoration process I take care to let the engine and generator welder on original standard. Untill now is not my idea to use this engine for heavy duty, I like this beauty be sended to a better place for all the peolple can watch it, but sure works so very good. Thanks for your comments
