Another Maytag 92 running!

All you need now is a washing maching and some dirty laundry.

In the meantime that should keep the mosquitoes away.

I put a cast iron fence horse head on my exhaust and cut a slit at it's mouth for the oil smoke to come out.

I plan to get some flex exhaust hose so I can drop the muffler in a bucket of water to keep the smoke down. I saw it at a show once and it appeared to work quite well.

Another idea is to have it actually running something so it hits more, then there would be less smoke... I'd really like to make a model tractor with it, though. Just need time, money, and tools!

I see by your video that you have the same problem I do. The kick starter will not stay up. My model 31 has a screen door type spring attached to the kick pedal but I can"t find a point to attach the other end so as to make the pedal return. Also, is there another place to get re-build parts? Thanks for any assistance. Tom/Idaho

I've had good luck with Bob's Small Engine Repair, http://www.bser.com for most of the parts.

Mark Shulaw has parts as well - [email protected] is his email, I think.

The kick starter problem for me is the brake on the pedal itself, I've tightened it and it's better...

The spring is supposed to attach to a hole in the base frame with a cotter pin. I think I need to shorten my spring a bit to get more tension...

Looks like it might have started backwards. They'll run that way, but it doesn't blow any air over the cylinder and the timing is off a bit. Did yer hand get a little hot there on the flywheel? Looks like you pulled it away pretty fast. Nice motor, I leave mine in their original faded paint, like "em better that way.

It was running the correct way in this video. I have gotten it to run backwards for a little bit at a time, though.

Hand didn't get hot, thought it was going to quit on me. I've got it running better now, the needle was set wrong and it was flooding out. Much better power and even hitting under load now.

It's for sale, the neighbors don't like the noise or the smoke. :(
