I got the LA running this weekend. My exhaust valve was not shutting all the way (forgot to check the clearence on the valves) HA. Now she has really good compression, it gives a good pull to get it over compression now. but i ran into another problem. It will stall within 5-10 sec. Someone told me you have to put a check valve in the fuel line is this true??? It does make sence the way it stalls as like someone is shutting the fuel off. After this is solved i need to locate a new flywheel as mine has a 1-7/16 WOW in it. the original owner must have tossed this thing in the scrape as the skids where bent all in the same direction and the fuel tank mount torn off. The fly wheel also has several cracks.(which i preheated and welded with my arc and a few nickel rods) but now i no it fires wants to run.
