Welcome to the YT group Gary1..

Only a suggestion Gary1,try posting your add in the MASSEY FERGUSON section. I'm sure you shall have better results.
If you would also give an idea of the REPAIRS your Tractor may require, you have a grater chance of someone assisting you.

All the best:

FYI:

Built in Detroit, Michigan, USA
The Ferguson F-40 is the same as the Massey Harris 50. The tractor was introduced during the dual line policy when the Massey-Harris-Ferguson company maintained separate Ferguson and Massey-Harris tractor lines.

Hello Gary welcome to YT! In case you are not familiar
with forums here is a link to the YT forum for Masseys.
It is actually called the ..Massey Harris & Massey
Ferguson Discussion Forum.. where JD D suggested
you post this. And as he said more details about what
you are looking to have done would be helpful.
YT MH & MF forum

I believe the internal drive shaft is broke PPTO does work.
Looking for somebody that knows how to split the case and repair it, parts are available

If the PTO works...and the three point lift works.....

And there is NO power to the rear differential....??

The CLUTCH that drives the REAR wheels may have failed?????

And or the drive coupling may have sheared at the designed shear point..????
Your 50's internal differential and associated parts should look like my MF 35.<
There is a FEMALE drive on the output of the H/L planetary that may have become disconnected ?

IF there is an inspection plate at the base of you Transmission, remove inspection plate and view CLUTCH assembly.

When you attached the clutch assembly to the flywheel, are you sure the PILOT entered the PILOT BEARING in the Crankshaft ?
Did you by chance try the PILOT BEARING for proper fit over the end of the PILOT SHAFT before assembly,as well as the Transmission input shaft?
Did you remove the compression cap screws that keep the assembly as one unit after you attached the clutch ASSEMBLY TO THE FLYWHEEL?
Sounds like it would be prudent to withdraw the Transmission from the engine and check to verify how deep the PILOT extends. Take something like a screwdriver and check the depth of the assembly, as well as the pilot bearing.? You should make 100 % sure the PILOT is all the way into the pilot Bearing. A small amount of lubrication to the Transmission input shaft is a good idea.

The above post by myself was NOT intended for the topic by GaryI.
I entered it on the incorrect topi...

MY BAD.....Bob.......
