Williams mill restoration

I've posted bits and pieces but heres the story to date. The mill was included when I got the IH stationary engine. The pile of parts on a pallet was all there was. Richard G jumped in to identify it and offer a gold mine of help.

The mill uses 14 inch stones. The frame is made up of scrap red oak and white oak I had. The local metal crafters have fixed or built parts. The large square box will be cut to surround the runner stone.

I'm running out of debris I can use for patterns so slowing down.

That's going to be a great display!

I see you even sourced square nuts! Those are getting expensive and hard to find, as you well know!

Looking great Steve.
Don't know if I helped much, but it is great talking with you.
I think you are doing a superb build on that Williams.

Yes, I have an infliction that causes me to try my best to put things back as original. That said. I do keep a lot of farm fixes. For instance, I could replace the fuel pump on the IH but this repair is just too good.

Cut the bottom block to accept the runner stone. Next I will bolt the box together, trace a blank I made for the stone, and cut out the rest. At this point I have so much time invested in each piece that o spend way more time triple-checking.
