Ford 801 hydraulic hub

Could use some help or tips on how to get the hub for the front hydraulics bolted back in to the crank. It seems there is no space to get the bolts back in. I've tried about every way I could think of, and no luck. Even got bolts an eighth inch shorter and still nothing. Thanks for your help.

I think you have answers to your post about this you made on the Ford Forum below. It would help to know the length of the bolts you are trying to install; they only need to be 1/2'' to 3/4'' long for that pulley (power steering?). Front mounted hydraulics would indicate a drive hub for a shaft going forward to a front pump, to most people familiar with front hydraulics. Those hub bolts/capscrews would be longer than the pulley needs.

So to will be sufficient with the drive hub as well? The bolts that came out of their are an inch and quarter. Here's a picture of the drive hub.

Okay, now you show this drive hub associated with a
front hydraulic pump. You have to understand that new
people come on here all the time saying one thing and
in the end it is something else. I would suggest you
focus on the post on the Ford forum that way the
information stays in one place.

Adding the picture of the front pump drive hub makes a difference in how I would have answered your first post that only showed a pulley, which would drive a power steering pump which some have called front hydraulics in the past.

Again, refer to your post on the Ford Forum. I think you will be separating the front axle cradle support to get the hub and bolts back in place. I would use grade 8 bolts and some blue (medium strength, removable) thread locker on them to hold the hub.
