ford jubilee voltage regulator buzzes when attempt'n 2

Ford Jubilee with electronic ignition was starting great . Then battery died. After installing new battery now the voltage regulator is buzzing and tractor will not start. Any ideas what is going on & how I should fix this?

Are you sure you did not connect the battery
backwards? Originally that tractor was 6 volt and the
positive battery terminal connects to the chassis cable
or what is commonly referred to as ..positive ground..
Not sure why your regulator would be buzzing because
of this but I suppose anything is possible. In what way
does it not start? Engine is not being turned by the
starter or engine is being turned but will not fire and
run? Has the tractor been converted to 12 volts? If so
then you are in a whole different ballgame.

It was running, then some rain came for a bit. Tractor with brush hog attached, was going uphill through some wet brush when it gradually slowed and died . Attempting to restart resulted in the buzzing and nothing more . Later in the day went back and was able to get it running enough to limp it back home.

The buzzing was just the high amperage starter draw
trying to overcome the drag requires to crank the hot
engine. Common on an electrical system such as a
starter that has had a lot of use.

ou did notice that he said "voltage regulator" and not starter/starter solenoid, right?
