Ford 1100 Front Electric PTO for Ford Belly Mower 915

Question to those in the know, I am in the process of a rebuild on a 1983 Ford 1100 front electric pto that is paired with a Ford 915 belly mower, the 'electric clutch' appears to be fine as it does engage when power is applied,

My question is, The gear box that is a bevel gear assembly and goes from horizontal to vertical has 2 shaft seals one on the outside of the vertical and one on the outside of the horizontal shafts Enclosing all of the bearings and a gasket on the access plate to the gear housing that when the cover is removed from the gear box has about a 1/4 - 1/2 inch pan or Reservoir if you may,

There are NO Zerk fittings or grease nipples anywhere on this assembly, It is very dry and the underside of the gearbox cover gasket had thick grease like GUNK that appeared to be grease but now I am thinking it is old gear oil and time turning it into GUNK. I am wondering if anyone knows if a gear oil is used in this gear box and not grease? This 1983 tractor is loaded with grease fittings and can not Imagine this being an oversight, as this pto is under a tremendous amount of stress when lots of usage for mowing and would require attention.

Before I disassemble this unit and risk damage to repack with grease as I initially intended I am rethinking my next move.

Furthermore for the forum, I have vested lots of time into the electric clutch and am on the threshold of a cross match with warner products that produce electric clutches for an array of products and once identified will drastically reduce the cost of a replacement for the 1000 series ford compacts forward electric pto, and intend to share my research and findings here, any help would be greatly appreciated, questions encouraged, Picture to Follow of Blowup of the gear assembly and PTO.
