I have an old D6 . Ser. #4R3525. Used the Dozier to fix roads on Nor Cal mountain property. About 2003 Pony motor died. Gear behind magneto broke in rear housing. Is there an electric start conversion for this tractor? It is a 6 cylinder. Do you think it will start after 20 years of rest.

Thank you for any responses,

Post this on ACMOC. Someone there will point you in the right direction. Probably cheaper to fix your Pony if you're so inclined.

I saw one on YouTube with an electric starter installed. I m not sure how well it will start without glow plugs, they are not known as the best starters even in warm weather. Probably end up having to give it a little sniff.
