Clutch spacers - install or not install

I am installing a new clutch disk and bearings with the existing clutch assembly into my 5610. The disk is a 12" single stage clutch with 25 splines. When I installed the clutch assembly onto the disk/flywheel there is a gap where the spacers used to be. I dont remember removing the spacers during disassembly and they are no where to be found so I am thinking they were not there before.
My question is can I go ahead and bolt up the assembly to the flywheel without the spacers? I need to run through my photos to see if I have a pic of the clutch before disassembly.

Are you talking about the installation blocks that hold
the clutch fingers partly depressed during installation
as shown in figure 1 on the 3rd page of the attached
document? If so they usually come free as the
pressure plate is bolted down to the flywheel. They are
down in the pressure plate mechanism somewhere.
Have you tried turning the engine to see if they fall
about inside the pressure plate assembly. It would be
best to find them all or they could get jammed in
somewhere and cause the clutch to not work properly.
They are usually made of some material that can be
broken up or worn down if it gets in a place that it may
interfere with motion of the parts. If you think it is not
worth the time spent to find them you run the risk of
experiencing the previously mentioned. If you cannot
find them I would recommend just biting the bullet and
pull it back off and remember to catch them as they
come loose or a short piece of electrical tape or
masking tape will hold them. If you are talking about
something else if you reply I will put a link to the JD
online parts catalog and you can point it out on there.
Example of spacers?

(quoted from post at 06:38:46 09/25/22) That's correct wore out, I was referring
to the spacers you noted. Guess I should
have called them shims.

I wish I had an answer for you!

Try posting farther down on the page, on the Ford-specific Forum, there's several Ford GURUS there who may have an answer for you (IF they haven't noticed your post here.)

Good thing wore out came along. I had you running a Deere. Always add the MAKE and model. Easy to assume when you are standing right next to it, the rest of us do not have that privilege. The Ford topic section is in the link if you are not certain how to get to it.

New disc, original clutch, don't have or remember the spacers. Sounds to me there were no spacers, and the clutch was bolted straight up to the flywheel. There's always a gap between the two parts until you gently tighten the bolts to pull the clutch up tight to the flywheel. That's what gives you clutch-to-disc pressure. Now, if your assembly results in the clutch fingers being way too deep in the clutch for the throw-out bearing to do it's job, you may have needed the spacers.
