disc brake oil saturated

How forgiving is your wife? I've never tried it, but I've heard that you can put them on a cookie sheet in the oven and bake it
out.

She is usually pretty good about my experiments but that might be pushing my happy home. I'm wondering if boiling in soapy water on a hot plate outside (the smell) might work.
 
What is it on?

A road vehicle is not worth the risk, just replace them.

If it's off road low speed, you can dry it up some with brake cleaner and bury it in the oil sorb barrel.

No way to get it all out, it is like a sponge, more will come out as it is used. It will eventually dry out but will be ineffective or grabby in the mean time.

Tractor disc brakes. Replaced seal and cleaned out brake area of oil.
 
destiny2 I cleaned up the brakes on a Massey 22. Took a little propane torch and heated them up. Take some brake cleaner and clean them off. Did this a few times and cleaned them up pretty good. Lynn
 
I scrub them in solvent then hit them with a steam cleaner and let them lay out in the sun a few days, Then I knock the
glaze off with some coarse sand paper.
