Hey all,
Weve got a JD 4000 diesel with the syncro range trans. Unfortunately the boss man left it outside in the field all last fall, winter, and spring. We only use it occasionally for raking, and today we started it up and the clutch slips very bad. I can barely accelerate, and it wont even grab enough on level ground to reach the top of each gear. I can drop the clutch in 8th gear and it will stand still while engine rpm is unaffected. It sure acts like the clutch is toast, but I sure hope its an adjustment or a leaking issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
