JD 855 PTO control link shaft stuck

We bought a '91 855 from a church that had used it to blade snow and spread salt. They parked it 2 years ago and the PTO control link shaft seems frozen in the case. Is there anything better/faster than lube and good hammer pressure trying to drive it forward?

Thank you for the offer! I have bits and pieces of one of those, but it doesn't show the bushing/bearing in the case that I think that shaft is frozen to. It tells about taking the roll pin out, the arm off and pushing the shaft in. This shaft is solid to the case. Yours may be more thorough. [email protected]
