Thought I'd start here versus the Case/DB forum.
The recent cold spell and hard starting has me thinking of adding a heater to the bottom hose of this tractor. Do any of you have an 885 with a bottom hose heater that you'd recommend? Low to mid twenties for lows around here.
My only experience with heaters of this sort is on an N Ford. Added a 600W in-line bottom hose heater with an internal cut-out allowing it to be left plugged in 24/7. It has worked well for over twenty years. Think it was from NAPA, probably pre-NAFTA and U.S made.
In the short term, is a dip-stick heater worth considering?
