Good Afternoon, My question is, where on this engine block is the temperature sensor or sending unit located. I am getting conflicting answers and I
would like to know from the experts! Thank you in advance for the information. dustcover

I haven't been around a 3000 for a while, but I believe it is in the front of the cylinder head, near the top radiator hose inlet.

It has to be somewhere in the head, up high where circulating water will be present.

You don't want it in the return flow from the radiator, or down below the head in the engine block. Both will give false readings, cooler than the actual critical temperature locations.

According to the parts book for the 3000 it is in the front of the head.
