Any michigan boneyards?

I'm looking for a rusty old project, something I can throw a lot of man hours at. I only seem to find stuff that needs a little work. I'm hoping to find a tractor that's been in the weeds on somebodies back 40 for 30 years. 😂

Tractor only? I been trying to give away a Minneapolis Moline Bale-O-Matic wire tire baler with a V-4 Wisconsin on it. Seems too good to scrap, and would take lots of man hours. I had hopes of some sort of restore but that isn't going to happen. I live in Northern Lower Michigan.

How do you feel about a MF 202 Workbull with loader? Ran and loaded stuff about 10 years ago, hasn't been touched since other than jacking it out of the mud every few years. Rear tires flat, sunk in clay under a leaking shed. Known issue include leaking PS gear, known bad governer, leaky 3 point.

I bet... If you put an ad in CL or your local FB swap... you will be able to find a bunch.

Hey, if you want a fun easy one, I have an Allis B that is 'mostly' resto rodded, but needs to be put back together.... Come on over to Armada... Bring truck or trailer... lol

Did you ever call that guy in Stanton that I told you about for that Dearborn loader? He sells some running tractors that are rough. You can give him a call. The fencerows are getting pretty picked over. Send me your email address and I can drop you a note if I hear of anything. I know another guy who buys about every Farmall he can get his hands on. He tunes them up and swaps parts around until he has runners that he resells,I can give you his number.

previous thread here. Tosch's in Capac does not have much anymore. Dutchman over by Bellevue is a good chance. Rody bor's in Dryden may have a real wreck or two out back, he has running tractors that I would describe as 'rough'. Are you looking for a 'you get the main castings' or a 'works but ugly'? Mech work, body and paint, or both? Lots of the latter, most of the mech work ones are going to parts now.

Try Wakely's (or is it "Wakley"?) Auto Salvage on Wakely Bridge Road, just east of Grayling along the north side of the AuSable river. I've gotten a few tractors and engines outta there.

Lotsa old iron scattered amongst the jack pines last time I was visited!

This is where I went when I wanted my first old tractor. I sat in a bunch of seats and decided IH suited me best. If I had tried an Oliver, it probably would have worked too. This is the Steiner family BTW.

Roeters Farm Equipment in Grant Michigan not sure if he will sell an entire tractor from out back but I know he has a lot of pick your own parts from tractors all makes and models could be a nice place to get parts for said project
