I changed all three fuel filters and as i try to bleed the sysatem i can get fuel to the primary filter but it will not get to the secondary filter, looks like there is a valve between the filters and i thought it may have something to do with it. I sure could use some help with this. thanks ron :)

Do you have the filter installed correctly?

IIRC, there's a flow arrow or "in" and "out" markings, and if you get it wrong it won't flow fuel.

MAY have to install it so part number and/or brand markings are upside down.

thanks for getting back to me I didn't remove the housing i just dropped the cups and inserted the new cartridges so i did not remove the lines except to put a electric fuel pump that i have done before to bleed systems like this, the primary filter fills and bleeds fine but nothing in the secondary but a few drops.

Bob Do you mean the cartridge itself could be upside down? I will drop that cup and examine it now.

I was thinking of the filters that had a steel shell and the fuel lines connected directly to the filter unit, so my idea doesn't apply to your tractor. Sorry.

thanks anyway Bob

Fill the filter canisters with fuel before installing them. Saves lots of time and
aggravation. Does the hand primer pump work. It is tucked tight to the firewall.-----

Adirondack thanks for your help: The hand primer has been removed for some reason that is why i put an electric one in line i have had this tractor running and it runs well but in bringing everything up to date i changed the filters and i cannot figure why i am not getting fuel past the primary filter, i hope you can shed some light on this. thanks ron fancher

Open all 3 bleeders and close as fuel flows clear.--------- Loren
PS If you scroll down
you will find the CASE DB forum. Lots of wisdom and knowledge there about all things
