I am mounting a front blade on my 1977 Ford 3600. My hydraulic connection is at the rear and appears to have a 1/2 female connector. My new hydraulic cylinder (4000 psi) is at the front of the tractor and appears to have 3/8 fittings.
I'm wondering what opinions there are for how I should make the connection. It's almost 10' from front to rear. I could use a single 1/2 hose the whole way and step it down to 3/8 for connection to the cylinder. Or, I could mount a short (24 inch) 3/8 hose to the cylinder and then step it up to an 8" 1/2 line.
Thoughts?
