I need info on valve timing on F12 Farmall, after valve have been removed and cleaned, reinstalled, now cannot tell whether #1 is up or#4. Cannot get valves in time until I get on #1 commpresson stroke. I know about timing marks on flywheel, just don't know if im on #1 or#4

Not sure what you are asking...

As for valve timing, it doesn't matter, #1 or #4, they run together, it's every other time, the cam will sort that out.

Just removing the valves doesn't change the timing unless you had the cam gear off.

Now if you are trying to set the ignition timing, just turn the engine with your thumb over the #1 plug hole. When you feel compression, keep turning until the timing mark lines up.

First and foremost, the cam shaft and crankshaft have to be in time. If you didn't have either shaft out, you
don't have to worry about that, nothing should of changed. But if you did, the timing gears at the front end of
those shafts have to be put together the right way. Cam shaft has to be timed to the crank shaft.

With that said, take valve cover off, rotate engine untill #1 intake valve is pushed down by rocker arm (second
valve from the front of engine). Slowly rotate engine untill that valve comes all the way up. At the point that
valve is all the way up, rotate engine 1/2 turn. At this point #1 piston should approximately be at top dead
center on compression stroke. There should be timing marks either on the flywheel, or front crank pulley to show
you exactly where top dead center is. #1 cylinder by the way is the front cylinder.
