Hi, I m both new to this forum and somewhat new to tractors. I recently bought my second tractor a Massey 35 with a Perkins diesel power plant. I ve been searching for some information as to what my next move should be. The tractor had been sitting for an unknown number of years. Got it home and it turns over great, bled the fuel system till I had fuel up to the injectors. When I crank it over it sounds like it wants to start, smokes white/grey but does not start. I noticed exhaust leaks at two injectors and also air bubbles from one of the steel plates bolted to the side of the block (I m assuming they are for access or inspection). My question is, since it seems like I have fuel.. should I be looking more for compression issues or timing? Please bear with me I am a rookie at this but mechanically inclined and eager to learn!
