I have a problem with my jd 300b it i weak going forward but it will go reverse like normal it has a hydraulic leak could that be the problem?

I am assuming it has a reverser. If the leak is coming out the bottom of the bell housing it could possibly be bleeding off enough pressure to cause forward to slip, but it would be a pretty serious leak If not I would guess the forward clutch pack is worn,or the sealing rings have worn to the point it can't maintain apply pressure and it slips. I would do some pressure checks after you dry up your leak and make sure the hydraulic level is correct. But more than likely it will require a split to rebuild/reseal the clutch packs
