My hydraulic system is weak. The harrow I have is heavy, it lifts it but immediately starts to leak down. The fellow I purchased it from replaced the lift cylinder ( with a used one) before I got the tractor. I don?t want to purchase a pump if it could be the cylinder or something more simple. Thanks in advance for your help.

It could be the cylinder, or the pressure relief valve, an internal leak. Pump maybe, but that would be an expensive guess.

A shop manual would be real handy to have before going in.

Here's a how to, has a lot of factory equipment, but a good pressure gauge could probably get you by.
Hydraulics Repair

Yessir, it leaks down with the tractor running. I
would think that if it had a small cylinder leak, the
pump could overcome it. Even without anything
hooked on the hitch, it?ll leak down when the engine
is off.
